Shotgun Racer was established in 2020 by Shawn Glad, an architect and graphic designer with a devotion to cars, motorcycles, and everything on wheels. Our content is a unique blend of Shawn’s professional skills and his passion for motorsports.

Every post on Shotgun Racer is exclusively ours — we shoot our own photos, create our own illustrations, and everything listed for sale comes from our own inventory. At Shotgun Racer, we are not just the producers; we are the photographers, illustrators, writers, and the technical backend behind every post. We are a true ‘jack of all trades’ ensuring that nothing is outsourced, keeping our content genuine and personal.

The name, Shotgun Racer, draws inspiration from the term ‘riding shotgun,’ which originated in the American Wild West. This term referred to the person sitting in the front passenger seat of a stagecoach or wagon, armed with a shotgun. Over time, it has evolved to symbolize sitting in the front passenger seat of any vehicle. It reflects our desire to get closer to the action, diving into the world of motorsports, exploring cars, drivers, and their shared history.
